My name is Dimelo Jones and I’m an
aspiring CEO of what I am hoping turns out to be the most influential
multi-media company in the world (IMIT ENT.). I was young when I got introduced
to music and I’ve had a passion for it ever since. My father was a musician and
he would often play his instruments to stop me from crying as a baby and later
on would bring me up to the studio while he and his jazz band would record. I
started making music at the age of five and being from the Bronx was introduced
to Hip-Hop around the same time. Since the age of thirteen I was performing
with friends and writing my own music. Later on around the age of twenty-two
and then again at the age of twenty four I signed a development deal with two
major labels that needless to say did not work out. After dealing with the
majors and seeing how the Music Business was changing I decided to start my own
label. I bought a few books but quickly realized that I needed more knowledge
and that’s how I ended up here at Full Sail University. So that’s a brief intro
to who I am, and now we can get into this blog. This blog is about me, and my
thoughts on music and current events. I will focus really with the hip-hop and
urban community because that’s what I relate to best, but with that said everyone
and anyone is invited to read my thoughts and share there own thoughts as well.
In the future I will post some of my own music to see what you guys think and
all feedback is good feedback so feel free to leave some.
